God has freed the Israelites from bondage in Egypt and made a covenant with His people. The Israelites quickly and easily break that covenant and God is on the verge of destroying them when he meets with Moses. During this exchange, we see that God loves His people and will provide instead of destroying them. We also get a glimpse of His glory through the eyes of Moses and see that glory fully come to life with Jesus.
